Chef-restaurateur Mark Ellman and his wife, Judy, have updated their “Mala: An Ocean Tavern Cookbook.”
“We took the original Mala cookbook and updated it with new photos and new recipes,” says Ellman. “We did this because it’s the restaurant’s 10th anniversary. Then we added a flip side with the Honu Seafood & Pizza Cookbook cover. It’s like two cookbooks in one. People really like it because it’s cheap and it fits into suitcases.”
Right now, the double-whammy book is available at the sister restaurants on Front Street in Lahaina. It should be on the shelves of big-box stores by December, the target month. Call 667-9394.
