Vestiges of Dread 1 is a week 1 challenge in Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted. Here's how you can complete it.

Destiny 2 Season 17, aka Season of the Haunted, has added the new Solar 3.0 update alongside new Seasonal activities, weapons, a new Dungeon, and more. As always, there are also new Seasonal Challenges, completing which will reward you with the most amount of XPs among other activities.
One of Destiny 2 Season of the Haunted week 1 challenge, Vestiges of Dread 1, requires you to collect 1500 Vestiges of Dread and 20 Material Nodes. While the prior is easy to grind, the latter can be confusing, given its vague name. Hence, here's our guide, which explains how to complete Vestiges of Dread 1 Seasonal Challenge in Destiny 2.
How to farm Material Nodes for Destiny 2 Vestiges of Dread 1 Seasonal Challenge
As previously mentioned, farming Vestiges of Dread is a lot simpler than it may seem. Almost every activity in Destiny 2 (Seasonal or otherwise) will reward you with Vestiges of Dread.
Playlist activities like Vanguard and Crucibles also give an abundance of Vestiges of Dread, so you won't have much trouble acquiring the required amount quickly.
To farm Material Nodes, you have to explore the newly added Derelict Leviathan. The Material Nodes are actually small glowy Petrified Egregore, which you will find scattered all over the Derelict Leviathan.
However, they are easy to miss, so keep an eye out on the ground while exploring the more vegetated sections of the Leviathan.
We recommend exploring the Pleasure Gardens and Royal Pools for Material Nodes, aka Petrified Egregore. Finding 20 of those will take a little while. Thankfully, Season of the Haunted does not end until 23rd August 2022, so you have plenty of time to farm for Material Nodes.
That's everything you need to know for completing the Vestiges of Dread 1 Seasonal Challenge in Destiny 2. As Season of the Haunted continues, you can expect more Seasonal Challenges.
We will be back with guides on more of these weekly challenges to help you complete them with ease and quickly level up the new Season 17 battle pass.
